How can we design objects and spaces to best support students’ learning and thinking? This workshop will explore the small and large changes we can make to environments based on Project Zero research. Participants will explore research-based qualities of places that support a variety of contemporary learning outcomes, such as curiosity, well-being, and collaboration. Several hands-on activities will invite teachers to put ideas into action through redesigning their learning places – such as classrooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces –to support the thinking and learning that matters most to them.
